Newlywed game

I have had a lot on my mind the past few days so posting has kinda taken a back burner. Here are two pictures from a rousing game we played the other night with 4 other couples. The game...the newlywed game. The teams...Wildcatz, Nut Jobs, Firinda, Yeter, and McAttack. Yep...we were the Nut Jobs.

Our host for the evening Alexander Supertramp (aka Adam)

He was looking strapping in a blue plaid shirt, a cowboy tie, and Brian's suit coat that was quite short in the arms.

Couple number one...oh wait...no this is Brian and Dave. I had the camera out to take a picture of this cute couple and ended up not taking any pictures of the actual couples. Oh well. Those guys are hard to beat.

(How come people warn each other that the pictures I am taking will be on the blog when they see me pull out my camera? Of course they will be on my blog. I have to document my life. Yep, if you are in my pictures you will be on my blog! It's too bad I didn't get any more this night. I would have loved to have a video of the whole Nut Job = vasectomy = don't get snippy with me discussion. So funny. Ahhh... And no...Brian didn't have a vasectomy...since I know that is what you are thinking. We were the Nut Jobs because of our extensive work in the hazelnut fields here in Turkey. Um...yeah.)

So who won the game? LOL

What type of work do you do in the hazelnut fields? I brought some back with me this summer, froze them and used them at Christmas to make Hazelnut Bark. Everyone loved it. Best nut ever. LOL

MAN! Why how come I gotta miss out on all the fun discussions. I so would have had fun with the vasectomy/don't get snippy with me coversation.

sheesh....

sounds like a great time :)

cathy - well we were winning, but alas it wasn't to be. i had trouble admitting that i was the worse driver. i still don't believe it. i mean i am the one who backed into a handicapped person's van and hit the wheelchair ramp on the back, but it was an accident. and i don't drive in turkey so i have had fewer occasions to get into an accident, but still i think i am the better driver overall. now that i've gotten that off my chest i can admit that we came in 2nd. not too bad.

oh and we really don't work in the hazelnut fields. when we were asked to introduce ourselves my husband just made up a story about us and that. we've never picked a hazelnut. eaten plenty though!

wishful - i feel that you would have been able to contribute to the vasectomy/don't get snippy with me conversation in only a way that would have made me pee my pants. and that would have been embarrassing! the pregnant lady in the group was already having to hold herself. several of us peeing would have made for an uncomfortable night so maybe it's good that you missed out.

You and Wishful and those cameras. I would have to wear a mask around the two of you to avoid my face being all over the internet with some embarrassing story as the caption. Good thing your friends warn each other.

witty - just don't do anything embarrassing and you don't have to worry about it. can you do that? is it possible? of course we could just make something up.

Um...Brian & Dave look just a little too cozy on that couch.....GEESH!!!
=)

gina - Dave loves to "get comfortable" with Brian just because of how uncomfortable Brian feels about it all...which is obvious by the looks on both of their faces.

Ah...they're at that 'uncomfortable' stage....yeah, it's a rough one to get through. Tell Brian it will get better. (man...I better be careful or your blog will be rated "R" soon!!)

gina - it already is rated r. we are quickly headed for the nc-17 rating i'm afraid!
