De-Lurking Day!

Ok...I must have scared some people with my de-lurker post. I have had 20 hits or so since I wrote it a few hours ago and not one person has commented.

I know you're out there. My stats tell me you're out there. And today you have a once in a lifetime chance to let your presence be known.

Well, okay, technically you have that chance everyday, but today is De-Lurking Day! A special day celebrating lurkers, and exhorting you to muster the strength and bravery to click on that comment button and end the deafening silence.

So say hi, or tell me your wish for 2008, or what you're having for lunch, or your diabolical plan for world domination-- whatever. I am one of the worst offenders, and may be popping by your site to say "Hello, I'm Natalie, and I am a lurkaholic".

So come one, come all. Don't be shy!

Here am I! I hope this works better for you than for me; I am still waiting for comments from my Facebook blog entry a month ago!

Thanks Brenda. I'm not sure if it will work or not. We'll see!

Yep, Will. That totally works.

Hi ya!

I'm Nikki, and I've found your blog from Okay City's blog, and you're quickly becoming one of my faves.

Um...actually it is my first time here, so I am not really a lurker and in general, not shy...

I was over a Hahn at Home, saw one of your comments and decided to come over and see for myself what you were all about...

Hello from Maria in Nebraska.

Hi, I came here from Mike's Mixed Memories. I am prove this works as I seldom make my presence known. I like your enthusiasm and sense of humor...

I guess I'm a 'professional lurker'...except I try to leave at least ONE comment for each post!! (okay..sometimes 2 or 3....does that mean I'm more of a STALKER??) ;-p

Dude, I just realized that COULD be taken as in "Boo! Hiss! Rubbish! Filth! Slime!! Muck!! BOO!! BOO!! BOO!!!!"

When really it was more of a "Peek a boo" boo!

Just clarifying!

I, of course, have commented before. In fact your blog is one of few I comment on with any regularity. You'll probably notice that I sometimes visit multiple times a day to see if you post anything new. I love your blog and I am LOVING the photos, recipes and stories on thepioneerwoman.com. Thanks for referring me to that one.

Natalie said...

loralee - well the clarification wasn't necessary, but thanks!

kristy - yep...you are one of the faithful. i like that! and the pioneer woman is great. i can't get enough of her!

I just discovered your blog the other day when I was surfing random blogs - came across your interview on that other blog. I've been fascinated with the comparisons between turkish culture and that here in the states, as I want to explore the expat life for a couple of years before settling down. Disregard the norway IP - I'm in florida but use a browser that compresses pages before loading, so they display faster on my phone. I was wondering if you are near the areas with ethnic violence?

Natalie said...

hey claudia. my latest post has to do with mall snacks. not sure how cultural that is! and no...no violence where we are. that is out east closer to the iraq border. we live in ankara which is just northwest of the dead center of turkey. it's nowhere close. thank goodness!
