Who's tired of Istanbul pictures?

Well...then I apologize, because I have a few more posts to write about Istanbul. I haven't even put any real history on here yet! I promise to space them out. I won't put them all on here in a row. But I had to at least show the things that made me smile today. And they really have nothing to with Istanbul.

A tin, copper, painted enameled plate. This was hanging on the wall in the restaurant we ate at tonight. (It was right next to the meat cleaver from my earlier post!)

They also had these lamps everywhere at the restaurant. So bright and colorful. I've seen them for sale, but I don't think I've ever seen so many all in use in one place. Would you look at those things. How can you not love that!

More restaurant decor.

And more...sigh. It was a feast for the eyes today...for sure!

Those lamps are absolutely stunning. Are they individual lamps or on a string? Did they look hard wired or like they plug into the wall?

The large round one on the far left and the orange round one in the middle are the ones I like the best. It looks like they are stained glass.

I will have to see if I can find some for the apartment to liven up the boring walls. Very, very cool!

It looks like a neat place to eat. Abbie would love wandering around looking at everything. Me too for that matter. Thanks for sharing!

witty - i totally agree. the lamps are gorgeous! i kept look up at the ceiling the whole time we were eating...checking out each one. they are just the globes hanging on a chain. they had an electrical wire strung across the ceiling with lightbulbs hanging down. they put a lamp under each lightbulb. very pretty!

wendy - yep...i have changed a few things! thanks for the visit!
