it's late. i haven't posted today. have you noticed? oh...wait. it's not late for most of you. most of my readers live in america. it's not late there. here...well, here it is 9:30pm. not really late...but late for the first blog post of the day. and of course i really don't know what to write. so here is a picture from istanbul. and a few other things that have happened today.
gypsy ladies selling flowers
i hear it is girl scout cookie time in america. stop the insanity. just stop. don't tell me about those thin mints, and tag-a-longs, and samoas that you get to eat. just don't tell me. i don't want to hear about it. i just want to crawl in my bed and cry. for the samoas. mostly for the samoas. i feel sorry for those poor tasty morsels of goodness. i feel sorry for them because another year is going by without me being able to partake. and they miss me. i can hear them crying now. (ok...i admit it. there is a girl scout troup here. we already had girl scout cookie time. i had a box of samoas all to myself. but it was like 2 months ago. and it was only one box. i can still hear the weeping. and they still deserve my attention. they need me.)
i went to the doctor for a check-up and had to do some of the craziest things. walk in a straight line on your tiptoes. walk forwards and backwards on your heels. push against my hand. show me your muscles. what color is this? stand up. sit down. fight. fight. fight. seriously. i was staggering all over the place because of how silly i thought it was.
after the doctor we went to eat chinese food. it was all delicious until they brought out the tea. i have had chinese tea before. it is good. i like it. normally. this tasted like toilet water. and i am not kidding. of course i haven't ever tasted toilet water, but this tasted exactly like a relatively clean public bathroom smells. i thought it, and brian said it. so it wasn't just me.
ok. that is all.

Glad you had a good day. Sounds like one weird doctor's visit.
{Shakes my head}
The excitement never ends around here. Melissa had a fender bender in the rental car, in front of our building, on the way back to Hertz.
Costco insurance, is going just love us!
Good blog!
I always like the pictures, and flowers were a good site for sore eyes!
You're "doctor visit" sounds suspiciously similar to a sobriety test.
Is there something you wish to share with the group, Natalie? Are you secretly hitting the toilet water again? Is it true that Turkish toilet water packs a greater wallop than our Western toilet water?
NOW--- THAT was funny! Good one HeyJoe!!
witty - thanks for caring. it was a good doctors visit...despite a few blood pressure issues. i got a clean bill of health. and as the doctor said...congratulations to me. that was funny! glad you liked the flowers.
heyjoe - i have not been drinking any toilet water. i sipped but didn't swallow. and that is all i have to say about that.
witty - don't encourage him. wait...please do. he makes me laugh, too!
