Something I am looking forward to when I get back to the states is the rodeo. I haven't been in years, and I can hardly stand it. Every time we have gone back to the states for a visit we've not been there during rodeo season. We even lived there for 7 months, but left a month and a half before the rodeo started. And yes...rodeo is a season in Houston. There's Thanksgiving, Christmas, then rodeo. The next big thing after Christmas is The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and it is a major production. I just missed it when I was home for my grandmother's sickness and funeral. I plan to be a full participant next year. March 3-22, 2009. I will be there.
Oh yeah...and I want a truck.
And some boots.
But I don't have to have them to attend the rodeo. Well, the boots would be nice, but a truck isn't mandatory.

Hello, Natalie!
Excellent work. Thank you.
Have a nice weekend.
Are you sure about that mandatory thing? I'm pretty sure that Texas passed a few laws while you've been gone, namely that all residents must posess:
1) A truck
2) With a gun rack
3) gunS note the plural
4) chaw, aka chewing tobacco
5) boots, commonly known as s*it kickers
6) hat, and I’m not talking about a beret
7) a recipe for “Big as your Face” chicken-fried steak
8) big dogS again, note plural
9) minimum of 12 pairs of blue jeans ranging from “work jeans” to “formal jeans”
Sounds like fun!
{grin}
I just wanted to let you know I am very disappointed in you. Seriously, that picture you posted was NOT a truck. A Mitsubishi? Seriously. I'm just so upset I can't even say anything else.
david - thanks for the visit! hope to see you again.
heyjoe - good grief i have a lot of work to do to catch up! i am so behind the times! i do own three pairs of jeans. none of them are starched so i don't know if i can count them as formal jeans or not.
charlie girl - i agree
scmom - i am sorry you are disappointed in me. i am posting some truck pictures to try to make it up to you. hope it helps.
