Working out

Today I made Erica go with me when I went on my walk. She thought it was because I wanted company...but no...I had ulterior motives! She was going to be my workout video guinea pig. Bwahahahaha! Poor, unsuspecting Erica!

This would have been WAY more fun, had Erica been holding the camera and we got to see YOU performing the workout directions.

Think of the next exercise craze.... "Body by Natalie... The Turkish workout!"

That's great. Makes me want to move to Turkey so that I can do those workouts. I would look really funny on those though.

So when does Erica get to turn the tables and film MOM on the Twisty Machine?

That's actually a very cool park. What a great way to save money on a gym membership.

I couldn't view the video, but your description of it cracked me up. :)

charlie girl - there is no way i would let you see me working out! nope...that is why i brought erica with me. i'm sneaky!

supermom - well, everyone looks funny on those! i wish i had a video of the covered turkish woman. if she had been doing it correctly it would have been one thing, but because she contorted her body in a way i didn't know you could contort your body it made it even more hilarious!

heyjoe - never! i am the ruler of the camera!

and yes...it is cool. but those machines have absolutely no resistance so you don't get much of a workout! i guess it is better than nothing though.

becky - i know. and it made me laugh even more after i typed it!

sparkliesunshine - you couldn't see the videos? i wonder why...

That's an awesome idea for a park-- I wish they had that here. But why give something for free when you can make people pay for it

I think even if there's no resistance, it's good endurance training.

I have a request: You should film people randomly to give those of us who've never been to Turkey a flavor of what it's like, or at least what it's like when a crazy American is sticking a camera in everyone's faces.

I want to live there so I can use that park!! Oh my goodness that's awesome!!

NATALIE!!! Hi! I was so excited today when I found your blog site! Had to run past a couple other 16 and 19 yr old Natalie's on my search before I got to you... but I succeeded and I'm so glad I did!!! I have to admit that I cried when I saw it b/c I miss you guys! What a fun park... probably not much resistance on the machines so the people don't die of dehydration. I remember how HOT is was.

literaldan - it is an awesome idea for a park. and i guess it makes people more aware of being physically fit. everyone walks everywhere here, but exercise for the sake of health isn't a big thing.

i'll be taking a trip next week and will try to get some video of people around the country. not sure if i will catch people working out, but i will see what i can do!

stella - it is quite the park. and there's a playground for the kids as well as a basketball court. just don't walk on the grass...because that is a no no!

Gina said...

Yeah, I suppose that concept wouldn't work over here since people want to make MONEY on those that want to be 'fit'. But I would definitely utilize it if we had one.

HeyJoe said...

Christina...how YOU doin'?

Natalie said...

heyjoe - that was hysterical. brian died laughing!

the only thing better than this outside exercise park would be an adult refreshment stand nearby selling frozen margarhitas! Thanks for the video! Checking you out from Allmediocre!

kelly - now you're speaking my language! frozen margaritas sound great. or those orange push pops with fred flintstone on them. i could go for one of those after working out! thanks for the visit!
