The road to nowhere starts here!

After my vigorous, rigorous workout yesterday I decided to continue on my walking loop.

Instead of exiting the park the way I entered I decided to take these steps which led to the road.

Or so I thought. What the heck? They just led to the middle of...um...where is this exactly? Hm...

I got to the top of the steps and just stopped. Are you kidding me? I turned and looked back at the steps...see picture number one again...nice, neat, clean steps...

that led to this.

So I walked down the grass/dirt trail and turned to take one last look. Nice. You couldn't even see the steps from here. I have no idea. Really...I don't.

I would imagine that they were installed just like that to force people to walk back down the steps as part of their exercise routine.

OR it could be they are just messing with you specifically....

Either way, interesting, very interesting, that you thought that was a vigorous, rigorous workout... that 5 minutes you dedicated....

Yeah I am snarky today...

Turkey is like the Winchester Mystery House of countries.

You may have to research that. Here, I'll save you the trouble.

You’re welcome.

I like it-- it's kind of like an art installation, juxtaposing the grand engineering marvels of human society with their eventual end, thereby questioning the purpose of everything we do. Or something.

Or maybe they just got tired of building once they finished the stairs. It looks like a nice park, at least.

charlie girl - i hadn't thought about the stairs being installed like that on purpose. to force people to walk back down them. you can look at the dirt trail through the grass and see how well that plan worked! and yes...i know...my dedication to working out is amazing. truly!

heyjoe - wow. i had never heard of the winchester mystery house. you know everything!

literaldan - you sound so smart...and into art and all. remind me to take you with me next time i visit an art museum. i might need someone to explain the masterpieces to me!
