2009 Goal #1

I got one! I figured out one thing I want to do in 2009. Actually it's more like 365 things. I am going to take one picture every day in 2009. At least one. I'll do weekly posts highlighting the photos from that week. Sunday to Saturday. And since today is Saturday...well technically Sunday since it is 12:50am...I will post my pictures for Jan 1, 2, and 3. Well for Jan. 2 and 3 anyway. Ok fine...I didn't actually take the January 2nd picture...AG did, but she used my camera so I am totally counting it! No pictures were taken on the 1st so I'll have to modify my New Year's goal to be 364 pictures this year. And really since these weren't taken with this goal in mind you have to cut me some slack about the quality and subject matter! And now without further ado...

January 2nd

January 3rd

Trying to take the fun kids picture for my last blog post myself and realizing that using the wall of mirrors in my bedroom wasn't going to work!

I was reading a blog that did that project, a photo a day. It was interesting to watch. Good luck with yours!

Oh, now that is what I call a great list-topper! You have inspired me. I'm going to try to take a picture or two this year. We have virtually no pictures. I NEVER think to take them though I have a nice little digital camera. Now if only I can find it.

What a clever idea! I LOVE looking at photos on blogs.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment, it led me over here which was a treat. We live in Texas too, where are y'all at?

There was a segment on a local show here about the blog with daily photos. The 2 ladies lived on the coasts, east & west, and posted one candid shot of whatever caught their eye that day. Sounded very interesting but I've yet had time to look it up. I especially liked the offbeat shots they showed on TV.

I should probably do that too. I'm really bad about taking pictures. When my kids grow up they'll wonder why their lives have whole chunks missing. (Well honey, that was the year our hard drive bit the dust...)

OOH! Can I steal that? I bought my camera with my own money (that's a big deal since I'm 12), so I need to take more than just vacation pictures. :)

I'm super close to buying one of those expensive DSLR cameras... if I do, I'll be taking about 50 pictures a day so I can justify the cost.

sra - thanks...we'll see what i come up with!

citizen of the world - thanks. i'm sure many of mine will be last minute things! who knows...

ms. morton - it was will's halloween costume in 2006...the semester we were back in the states. erica found it in a box and decided she needed it try it on. voila...

mamadallama - i thought it would be a great idea. even on the days i don't have much to take pictures of i can always take a picture of something around my house. we'll see how it goes.

mom #1 - thanks! we are in the houston area. thanks for the visit!

friyet - how are you doing? so far i'm making it, but i do need to hurry up and take a picture for today. i have 45 minutes of today left! ack!

mike s - i'm sure their pictures are much more interesting than mine will be. i just figured it was a fairly easy thing to do. and i also thought that some days i'll actually put some thought into what i want to take pictures of. some days it might just be the back of my hand. who knows. should be interesting!

memarie lane - i know. i go in phases...this year i figured at least there would be one picture for every day. we'll see.

emily s - sure thing! steal away. i saw the idea on several other blogs and thought it sounded like something i could do. something i wanted to do!

joe - i want a new camera so badly, but we are currently needing to hold onto what money we have. one of these days i'll get a new one. i can't wait!
