post-secret-esque wednesday

i am wondering what to blog about today. and really...i have nothing. i don't want to be one of those people who feels the need to pump out a blog post just because it is a new day...especially when my forced posts read just like that...forced. so i thought we would do something i've seen on other blogs. we are going to call this post-secret-esque wednesday after the postsecret blog site and books. the comments are open for you to share an anonymous secret. just click on the anonymous button in the comment section and share whatever you want. i do have a site counter, but i can't ever tell who leaves a comment so no worries that i will try to figure out who you are. besides that would take away from the whole point of this post. judging from the overwhelming responses on other blogs i know that most of us carry around a lot of baggage. here is your chance to spill it. and at some point i'll share a secret of mine as well. so share...your secret is safe with me!

well, lets see. my dad was an alcoholic. he went to prison when i was little. something to do with counterfeit money i think. i dont remember him being gone. the only way i found out is because i was a nosey kid and i found a g.e.d. that he had earned while he was locked up.

Okay this isn't a secret. I just saw this on Ronner's blog and thought you would be super funny at this:

http://taleofakansasgirl.blogspot.com/2008/07/enough-with-me-how-about-you.html

so, the next time you don't know what to blog about, you should totally do this!

erin - how funny! i actually read the blog she took the idea from. i saw that she had commented on it and planned to check back with her and see what she came up with! thanks for the heads up!

Okay, I posted the answers about you. Of course, this isn't a secret either...

Yes, we ate your parmesan. You had told us to keep our hands off anything with English writing on it (though I'm sure you said it in a much kinder way), which we did, but we hadn't realized that the Parmesan was from France until after we had opened it and used it! We debated what to do, but then we saw that it was expired, so we figured we might as well continue eating the French cheese. Thanks, by the way.

I have a list of bloggers I'd like to kick in the ass (not you though).

In high school, I had 3 football jocks steal candy out of my bag several times, so the following day, I replaced the chocolate candy with laxatives. They stole it, ate it and ended up in the bathroom the rest of the day.

They never admitted to stealing the stuff, but said I gave it to them. The principal called me into the office to ask why I had given them laxatives, and I acted shocked and ran through my bag in utter dismay that my laxatives were gone, while I muttered things about getting constipated around that time of the month.

I totally knew they had stolen them, but acted as if I didn't.

The state championship game was that night and they could not play, due to abdominal cramping.

We lost.

I have always felt a little guilty about that... or do I?

I'm not attracted to my husband at all. In fact he kind of repulses me.

I go back and forth on whether I think my boyfriend and I are going to stay together. One day, I want to make it work, and the next I think it's only a matter of time before I break this off. And I wonder if he's not going through the same thing.

I can't find my blog said...

Hey-just heard in the news of an incident at a consulate office in Turkey-Hoping you're all ok!!!

Sometimes I fantasize about leaving my husband and kids to travel the world. In my fantasy, I don't miss them.

But a few minutes later, I realize how very MUCH I would miss them, and squeeze them tight.

I want to spend the rest of my life with someone I met three weeks ago, thankfully he feels the same way. We are already looking at apartments! we haven't told anyone though.

I'm tired of being lonely. If you have a best friend, or just a good friend, tell them how much you appreciate them.

Pioneer woman is starting to get on my nerves.

Where to begin??

I hate Dooce too! I'm glad to finally hear someone else say it so I don't have to say it on my own blog and ruin my reputation! Well, I guess I can't really guarantee that that won't happen sometime.

Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I never made all the mistakes I made. Sometimes I look back a regret the decisions that I made. But I know that I wouldn't trade what I have now for anything... I just wonder about it.

Sometimes I like to parade around in women's clothing while singing Barbara Streisand songs, and then go trolling for sailors.

S*it, I thought this was anonymous!

ABORT, ABORT.

Sometimes, I'm just overcome with jealousy that I'm not as cool as LiteralDan.

Now, how do I make this anonymous, again? Ah, I think I see how...

i really did drive all the way back to the rest area just to make sure that the cat had gotten a new home.

Oh, and I'm glad some other people aren't all that fired up about Dooce, too.

i don't know who dooce is...

Although I had a very successful career and ended up on top of the heap, I've done it all with a really bad inferiority complex.

I can't believe Natalie ripped off this idea from me!!

HEY JOE!!!! Where did you put the ABORT!ABORT! button???

The Over-Thinker said...

Totally kidding :) I'm thrilled that this is being passed around. Especially since I also ripped it off from Post-Secret.

I hope I don't get sued :) If they come after me, I'm running away to Turkey and hiding out with a family with a name that rhymes with DIXON.

Sometimes I get so tired of blogging. It's such effort to be creative and original

over-thinker - as soon as i saw your post secret post i thought it was a fabulous idea! i wasn't sure what question you would ask after the one about lying. then i saw loralee's post. then sra's. i decided that by that point it didn't matter if i did it too. and if you continue to do it with specific questions that will be great! people will still share. it looks like people have a lot of secrets out there!
