That's ok. I had the same haircut when I was a little girl, and once another little girl came up to me and asked me if I was a boy or a girl. Strangely, my feelings weren't hurt. Today, I'd kick her in the nuts.
I am highly amused right now, but I must confess I too had that same darn haircut. I would show a picture, but I am not that brave. I had a very long not cute phase that I call my ugly duckling period.
citizen of the month - i'm sure it was convenient for sure. and i actually think it is pretty cute now. at the time though i thought i looked like a boy!
sra - i know. pretty funny. if we didn't share the same hair color as well it wouldn't be so funny. we look like we could be related!
tamara - oh i bet your red hair was cute in that hairstyle! a cute little red-headed boy.
andrea - it seems like lots of moms had those bowls!
sparkliesunshine - "a very long not cute phase"...hilarious! i think most of us had one of those. mine was 8th grade. the clothes, the hair, oh my. i don't think i will post pictures of that! i don't even think i have pictures of that here!
charlie girl - glad you enjoyed that!
missnightowl - you know for years anytime my mom and i would "discuss" my hair my dad would say, "i like your hair best the way it was in lisa's wedding" which is the haircut pictured. i think when i was 16 i finally said to him that it had been 7 years. i was 9 when i had that haircut. i think he was surprised that so much time had passed.
dixon - they are cute aren't they! hee hee!
#2 - well they were easy to keep. i guess when you have 4 kids giving them all the same haircut helps with sanity issues. i should try that with mine!
literaldan - i know. we look like we could be related! which is funny to me!
pinki - well...there was a time not long after we got to turkey when brian and i did have the same haircut. i was trying to tell the nice haircutting man to cut three centimeters off my hair and he took a pair of razor scissors and proceeded to shave all but 3 centimeters off. i called brian to warn him that we had the same haircut and he said, "well, come on home larry." i was known as larry for sometime after that. it wasn't pretty!
I'm Natalie. I was born in New Orleans and raised in Louisiana and Texas. I have a husband, Brian and four fabulous kids. We spent a few years working in Turkey (yes, the country), but we are currently back in Texas for a while.

My Mom used to give all of us that same haircut.

That's too funny. I had that haircut too...hated it...everyone thought I was a boy.
Hmmmm, yes. Your moms must have owned the same bowls! : )

And... my birthday is complete!

I, too, had that haircut. For way more years than I care to remember.
Wow those boys in that picture are just way to handsome for words even at such a young age!!!! The women who married them are truely blessed!!!! ;)

Actually, it looks like ALL the kids in both pictures have pretty much the same haircut. I love when practicality rules over fashion.
You guys must come from good people.
At least you don't have the same haircut now. Now THAT would be funny. : )
