Please. I am boring myself! - updated...

I've been somewhat absent from my blog for the past few days. I've posted stuff, but I haven't felt like writing stuff. I've just slapped some stuff on here. And while the post about spanking some mosquito hiney was written, it wasn't really thought through. It was frustration coming to fruition on my blog. Then I posted pictures of desserts, and while quite delectable they weren't really much of a post per say. And now here I sit with not much on my mind. So I have decided to do what I've done in the past when I get this way. I'm taking questions. Now in the past when I have taken questions I didn't get many. I am hoping that it was because there just weren't that many people reading my blog. I know there are more of you out there now. I see the stat counter. Please...help me out of my slump. Ask me something. Anything. I will try to answer it. Please. Brian is out of town, and it is hot as blazes in my apartment. Give me something to do. I'm begging you.

Update - please, please if you have been a lurker on my site...step out of the shadows and ask me a question. i see you. now i want to hear from you too!

Does Girl 2's hair always look so shiney? That pic on the side bar is just so great. Did you blow dry it?

And how do you plan to stop her from perming/bleaching and in any way destoying that healthy shine.

Sorry that's just what came to mind.

tell us three things you would do differently if you were about to start your time in turkey all over again.

now come on...you knew i wouldn't ask you an easy one. i have a reputation to protect.

The USA has decided you would be the best President we have ever had and you agree to take the job, but for only one week.

What 3 things would you try to accomplish while you are in office?

I'm not a lurker, but I'll generate a question anyway: What are the difficult aspects of living as an "outsider" in a culture very different fromt he one in which you were raised?

Ok ok... I've got questions! Which ones to ask....

1. What's your favorite thing about living in Turkey?
2. What's your least favorite?
3. What American item do you miss most?
4. What's the weirdest custom to get used to in Turkey (vague question, but hopefully you'll be able to do something with it).
5. What's your favorite piece of clothing that you wear frequently?

Ok, I think that's all the questions I can think of... I promise I'm brainstorming for more (unless you've had enough!).

Hi Natalie,
Maybe I missed this somewhere in your blog, but...why do you live in Turkey, and do you plan to come back to the states, and if so when?

As interested as you say people there are in your blond-haired children, do you ever feel ignored in comparison?

And as a related question, does Brian ever feel ignored by you because of your deep relationship with your super-awesome blog and all of us superer-awesomer fans?

I'm sorry I can't come up with a deeply philosophical or even remotely analytical brainy question. What I'm dying to know is....What do you watch on tv if you watch tv at all?

ok...some of these comments i am going to have to answer in a blog post. some of them i will address here, because they are easy answers.

kiki - we had just had it cut. they blew it dry, and then we went out to eat. it doesn't look that good all the time for sure. she is only 8 so i have a few years of say-so on her hairstyles. i'll tell her you like how shiny it is...maybe she will listen to you!

mentanna - good grief. ok...i'll think about it and post it in a blog at some point. of course you are going to make me think.

charlie girl - well...i would totally refuse to be president. i have no desire to have that job. too many people would be disappointed in anything i might do. i know i can't make all the people happy all the time, so i choose not to upset everyone by not taking the position even if i am the best person for it.

citizen of the world - i'll address this in a post.

sarah - wow! you have been thinking! i'll have to think about this one. well all but the item i wear most frequently. i have a pair of cropped jeans that i love. wear them all the time. since we don't wear shorts here they get lots of use!

cruisin-mom - well...i have something on my side-bar about why we live in turkey so i'll just send you there. we are headed back to the states in november for at least 7 months and possibly longer.

literaldan - i sometimes wish i felt ignored! most of the time people are in awe of the fact that i have 4 kids. that is something that people in the villages here do, but most modern turks have one or maybe two kids. i usually get the most attention from moms. and turkish men on occasion. especially if i am in an area where there aren't many women out and about.

arizona albino - well...i don't watch much tv to tell you the truth. we have a very large dvd collection, and i watch those. we do have a channel that has some american programs, but i rarely watch it. my kids watch the disney channel and reality tv type programs. ag loves animal miracle stories.
