I love them. But even better than eating a caramel apple on a stick is melting the caramel in a bowl and dipping apple slices in it. That way you get lots of caramel with every bite! Yum!!!
I was eating apple slices dipped in caramel last night when our friend, Adam, was here. I mentioned my absolute and complete love for them, and he said "blog it". (I even shared a slice with him - which my husband would be proud of me for since I tend to be stingy when it comes to things I can't get in Turkey...caramel!) (Oh, thanks to the Adam SS class at CFBC for the bags of caramels...I'm enjoying them!) (Wait...how appropriate is that?!?...the Adam SS class sent them, and I shared with Adam here!)
I must also mention that before my caramel apple I had a BLT for dinner! A great group of guys arrived from the states on Wednesday, and they surprised us with bacon and ham. We ate the entire box of bacon last night and enjoyed every bite of it! As Will was making his sandwich he clinked the knife in the mayonnaise jar and said "I love the sound of a knife in a mayonnaise jar". I love that! He is his momma's boy!
So, all in all, it was a great food night!

Caramel apples are my MOST favorite food. I love them so much, but I only allow myself to eat them in the fall, because once I start, I can't stop!
I thought I posted the other day, but I didn't see it show up, so I must not have hit "publish". I finally got around to posting on my blog. It's not as interesting and informative as yours...mostly a place to hang my pictures! :)
I enjoyed your Ramadan posts...very interesting.
If you love caramel on apples try this recipe! I think you can probably find all the ingredients where you are. Good luck!
oops forgot to add the link...here it is!

Thanks Kristy...the recipe looks great. And I can get the three ingredients here...sugar, water, and cream. Yummy!
Yes, how can you go wrong with those ingredients...aren't those the 3 major food groups? :) You'll have to let us know about the results. I love the blog that the recipe came from. Their main blog is about expat life in Lyon, France. I have made a couple of the other recipes with good results! Oh and I have to say that I loved the video of the Ramadan drummer although I'm pretty sure I'd be devising a way to hit him with a rock when he passed by my house. :) Fun times!
I am pretty sure I heard the drummer twice last night. I might have just fallen asleep between drum beats, but it seemed like I heard him pass by once and then a little while later I heard him again. The second time I was definitely thinking about your rock idea!
