Mmmmmmm! I don't think I've ever seen the coconut wreaths before!

Sounds reasonable to me. We never realized how much stuff we missed until back for good the last time. Until difficulty walking set in, I continued to park at the farthest parts of the mall lots as it was still closer than most places I'd lived. Had a (very short) adjustment period adapting to HUGE restaurant meals in the US too.

Wow, this will be your 1st 'NOEL' without the 'call to prayer' carollers. Talk about 'culture shock'!!!hehehe

I certainly understand about item #2. I like coconut well enough, but I just don't get the fascination with #3. Chocolate Santas make you happy? Maybe I'm missing something here.

On my end, it certainly is weird to see all the Christmas decorations here in Peru with weather that is approaching high 80s F! Even Florida Christmases could have a little bit of winter weather, but here is full summer. School here just ended for "summer break" yesterday, actually!

I LOVE the coconut wreaths, and the Reese's as well. But the 3rd one...are those just marshmallow Santas, or are the filled with something else?? I have to keep myself away from the Russell Stover's outlet store we have around here or I would weigh 300 lbs!!

Maple candy is the craving that hits me every Christmas.

sparkliesunshine - i am so glad to know that you agree!

mamadallama - they are delicious! they remind me of something i used to get in high school at some candy store somewhere. i have these vague memories of buying chocolate covered coconut blobs, but i have no idea who i was with or where i got them. i just know that i bought them on occasion! so yummy!

mike s. - i know. we were the same way! we still aren't adjusted to the meal sizes. i hope that i never adjust i must say! too much food for sure! and we always park far away! once the summer heat sets in i'm sure i'll be searching for closer places though! yep...no call to prayer. that has been strange!

ms morton - those aren't just any ol' chocolate santas...they are chocolate covered marshmallow santas! to die for! i will barely share them with my kids i love them so much! i'm glad you are having fun in peru! i've enjoyed seeing the pics on your blog!

gina - yes...marshmallow santas! i seriously love them! it's a good thing they are only available during the christmas season or i would be in trouble!

abby - i know. we are enjoying the food for sure!

citizen of the world - hm...maple candy. i must say i have never had a craving for that! i guess i should admit to never craving anything maple. don't like that flavor for some reason. i am a karo syrup on my pancakes kind of girl. i know...i'm weird like that!
