Back from vacation

Several days ago I mentioned that my camera went on vacation. Well it has returned. And it seems to have had a great time. Here are 10 of the 180 photos it shared with me.

Jacob and Will asleep on the castle walls in Bayburt

A Georgian church - about 1000 years old

Another Georgian church...

which was converted to a mosque. Then the ceiling fell in.

The view of the Ani city ruins from the castle ruins. About 800-1000 years old.

Castle gate in Bayburt

View of the city of Bayburt from the castle

Wading in the Coruh river

The boys standing on the two rivers bridges.

Will hanging on for dear life...um...yeah. Not really.

Then I was treated to these awesome videos as well.

Beautiful! I've never been bitten by the travel bug, but these pictures almost make me want to go get a passport.

Love the pics and videos. Your kids are such hams. I love it.

I understand you are a birthday girl (if I'm not late, Happy Birthday! If I am late, Happy Belated Birthday!)

So thrilled you found it. Few things are worse then losing a camera.

brittany - i know. giving my camera to my husband for a 9 day vacation with the boys was hard for me to do! but brian did good taking pictures!

~m - my camera isn't that great honestly. it is about 4 years old and is starting to show it's age. one of these days i will be getting a new one.

georgie - sure...come on over. and your playlist is awesome! i love it!

memarie lane - i always liked to travel, but since living overseas i have really wanted to see the world.

charlie girl - i know...those videos cracked me up! forgetting the camera was on the video setting..hee hee!

citizen of the world - well...i actually knew where the camera was, but just wasn't sure i should let the world know the girls were home alone! now that the boys are home i don't mind letting people know!

literaldan - well those were brian's pictures from his trip out east. he had wanted to go for a long time and decided to make it a boys trip. giving up the camera for over a week was hard!

thewishfulwriter - i know...they are crazy kids for sure!

thanks for the birthday wishes!

gina - i know. that brian and his camera settings. so funny!

lynn - do you have a good camera? i want a new camera and a vacation to go with it!

sf - it was fun for them for sure! we head back to the states in november after 6 1/2 years here. scary!

sparkliesunshine - well...it wasn't lost. brian had it on vacation. i just didn't want to advertise being alone so i said my camera was on vacation...not saying who with. sorry for the misunderstanding!

over-thinker - i know. he is crazy fun. when the boys got back and i heard all kinds of funny stories i realized how boring we girls are! i mean we aren't boring, but the boys are definitely quicker than the girls when it comes to wit!

hahn - i know. he is funny. you should have heard the body hair stories. i laughed...hard. unfortunately i can't blog them, because too many people around here read my blog.

mamadallama - i loved that picture too! so cool! yeah...the boys are hams for sure!

I loved these pictures! I love seeing old structures. I remember the first one I saw were the ruins of Castle acre in Norfolk, UK. It dated 1066! Amazing.

You can make a great album (digital or paper) of your travels someday, when you get a moment :).

#2 - it did! thanks for enjoying!

andrea - i love seeing them as well. i am always amazed at how new america's history is when compared with places over here.

i plan to make my blog into a book at some point. right now it will take more work that i want to do. maybe when i get to the states and find some downtime. there is downtime in the states right?
