Natalie, I'm glad you guys had a great celebration all the way out there.

That's a great picture of the Starbucks guy looking chastened for his existence in such weather. Did they at least have any iced coffee??

I hope your son has better luck in the babysitting market when you guys move back here. But he may just need to settle for coaching or mentoring, or something.LiteralDanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16704368269389527451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21957679.post-46368770595978985322008-07-05T15:51:00.000-05:002008-07-05T15:51:00.000-05:00I think you look more like Lauren Graham from Gilm...I think you look more like Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls, although in that particular picture I can see the resemblance to Eddie. My husband has often resembled Eddie too (when he had longer hiar, that is). I wish I could find a good picture showing it, but I would have to dig around...maybe later. Eddie Van Halen is one of his favorite guitarists...to the point of ridiculous fanatic. For his 40th, I threw him a Van Halen party, complete with red, white and black striped cake. I got him a red white and black striped pair of high tops. He owns a replica guitar, etc. etc. etc....
But enough about me, this post is supposed to be about YOU!

Now why couldn't the Starbucks people serve ICED coffee????Nanny Goats In Pantieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06019800312349427823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21957679.post-91160214292117345212008-07-05T15:10:00.000-05:002008-07-05T15:10:00.000-05:00HAPPY 4th! And although you do look a bit like Eddie Van Halen in that photo (good eye, Brian) (but you are MUCH prettier than Eddie), it looks like you had a fantastic day. I retired to Haynesville LA and my daughter-in-law is from Emerson! My parents had the adventure bug and I was raised in Beirut, Lebanon. We used to have fabulous July 4th celebrations there but that was 50 years ago.

Reading about your grandmother's funeral really made me reminisce.
Nothing like good country cooking.

I am looking forward to reading more of your blog, take care, Denise Harman Haynesville.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21957679.post-29474428663926247322008-07-05T08:36:00.000-05:002008-07-05T08:36:00.000-05:00Glad you got to celebrate the 4th - looks like a l...Glad you got to celebrate the 4th - looks like a lot of fun!Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02048142062389474950noreply@blogger.com
